Offering a friendly neighbourhood dining experience, with a legion of loyal regulars, the restaurant combines a charming blend of the best of ingredients, a delicious and carefully crafted modern Italian menu, an all-Italian wine list including (of course) Amarone wine from the Veneto region of Italy, all served with a friendly and conscientious level of service.
Signature dishes include the Anti-pasti Planks (with fresh meats, cheeses, olives & chilli jam); the Home-made Warm Breads with Dips, Fettucine with Spicy Prawns; Butternut Squash Risotto with Walnut & Wild sage; and a Daily Specials Board with a broad selection of meat and fish dishes.

Excellent starter, nice main although not as amazing as the pasta I had on my first visit but overall good value early bird menu meal. Excellent service and I'll always recommend a visit.

Derick and I both, really enjoyed the meal, and the service was of a good standard. We found the venue romantic and it was not to busy, it was a bit cool temperature wise, for our liking but the ambience made up for it. The music was also enjoyable and added to the atmosphere.

The food was really good but unfortunately our starters were forgotten and the staff were a little disorganised. Great potential but the lack of organisation tainted the night somewhat.

I was a big fan of the Italian restaurant that was at the location of Amarone for many years so I was interested to see how they compared.
It was great that they had the pre theatre menu avaiable on a Saturday night. The choice from this menu was excellent and all the dishes were packed with flavour (the rigatoni I had was certainly one of the best plates of pasta I've eaten at a restaurant). Good wine list and plenty of helpful service from the staff. I've put ambiance at 8 only because a big party came in which made it a bit noisey but I think sometimes that's better to it being too quiet!
Well worth a visit then and I'm looking forward to going again.

The food and service were excellent at Amarone. It was nice to see the restaurant wasn't set up like a canteen, with tables and chairs regimented in lines, which could have esily been the case. The selection of meat dishes on the menu was good and not one of us (there were 4 of us dining) had a bad thing to say about the evening.

Lovely evening - great value. I really enjoyed my starter (the plank) and the main (salmon pasta) was good too. My wife had been before and always seems to enjoy it. Would recommend.

I don't know if we got an 'off' night... We enjoyed the starter which was a veggie platter. Our mains however were both on the greasy side even though we had different dishes. We were offered black pepper said yes and she never came back which was a bit odd to say the least! We didn't stay for dessert. Shame we had read the other reports and thought we were in for a great experience but sadly not for us.
