Situated in the heart of Newark on Trent is Rushton’s Deli and Bistro. Perched on the corner of Stodman Street, opposite the shop Domino, Rushton’s is in a prime location for those who like to take a break from shopping and recharge their batteries whilst enjoying some delicious food. The Bistro and Deli are located right next to each other and each pride themselves on serving freshly-prepared food.

The ground floor of the bistro oozes a French charm that draws passer’s by in to its warm and comfortable environment. The interior is simple and classic with a palette of creams, caramels combined with polished wooden floors to give the main dining room a fresh and light atmosphere. In addition to the charming ground floor, there is an additional dining room upstairs which offers private dining for pre-booked gourmet dinner parties. This room is much more decadent than its sister, with leather chairs, patterned wallpaper and pristine white tablecloths. This room will add a sense of occasion to any meal.

On the menu you will find beautiful, classic French dishes such as the classic beef bourguignon, chunks of tender beef in a red wine, mushroom and bacon sauce served with champ mash and greens, alongside dishes such as Thai green chicken curry and Moroccan lamb tagine. The variety of cuisines on offer means that Ruston’s always has something to suit every taste. In addition to the main a la carte menu, there is a daily menu that is constantly changing to reflect the current seasonal produce.

A comprehensive and interesting wine list that features house aperitifs and digestives is available which comes with the options to enjoy some of the superb ingredients from the neighbouring delicatessen such as the cheese of the day and themed platters. The baked camembert comes very highly recommended.
