The Riverbank bar and restaurant is located on Trent Bridge in Nottingham. Backing directly on to the River Trent itself, this venue offers views down the embankment as well as being nestled close to the city centre and West Bridgford.

The venue has just gone through a huge renovation project and has been transformed in to a state of the art, chic and modern bar and restaurant with its own delicatessen that hosts an excellent array of specialist meats, cheeses and home-made breads. The bar has a capacity of 220 people, whilst the first floor restaurant can seat 110 people comfortably. The outside terrace area is stunning and designed to be used whatever the weather. Heaters and cleverly designed seating areas that stop the wind in its tracks makes the huge terrace a comfortable place to enjoy a romantic drink or meal, or just admire the view.

The Riverbank has already gained a fantastic reputation for its first class cuisine, friendly service and beautiful and innovative architecture. Using as much locally sourced produce as possible, every item on the menu will have your mouth watering. From starters to desserts, The Riverbank have carefully created a menu that offers something for everyone. From classic fish and chips with a twist; a huge fresh haddock fillet in beer batter and served with fat chips, minted marrowfat peas and tartar sauce, to the ‘Thai fish bowl’, a highly flavoured coconut and chilli broth packed with lemongrass, coriander and lime with salmon, white fish, prawns, mussels, crayfish and rice noodles, and Wild mushroom and spinach open lasagne to pan-fried fillet steak, The Riverbank has it all.

Service was slow when it came to the food arriving however it was really busy due to the hot weather. We had booked for the ladies night and got a free cocktail which was lovely. I had organised for them to bring a birthday cake out as a surprise for my friend which they did. The food is always lovely here and the staff are always friendly and helpful.

Service was a little slow however it was rammed due to the Hot weather. They helped me surprise my friend with a Birthday cake which was good of them. The food is really nice never any issues, Everyone enjoyed their chosen courses.

The food was delicious and just the right sized portions. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was relaxing. My only complaint is when i arrived the restaurant couldn't find my booking and when it came to pay the bill they couldn't find any record of the deposit I had paid a few days before.So after logging in to my bank on my mobile to prove i had paid it because the staff members were denying all knowledge i got my discount. Apart from that fiasco the evening was enjoyable.

The food was a little underseasoned for me and the starter therfore bland, but the main course with some salt added was very nice. The service was good, but the toilets while clean and modern they were really cold.

Starters arrived before drinks so Got bit fed up waiting for them. Main course was small in portion and bit tasteless not sure if portion was due to being early bird menu. Bill was wrong charged £10 to much so that had to be sorted out. Staff very nice and location lovely.
