Wagamama Restaurant in Nottingham City Centre

Situated in the heart of Nottingham city centre, in the Cornerhouse complex, is Wagamama’s. Modelled on the traditional Japanese ramen bars, Wagamama’s Nottingham is a chic, urban restaurant ideal for get-togethers. Located just across the road from the Royal Concert Hall and the Victoria centre shopping arcade with the Cornerhouse providing a cinema and casino, Wagamama’s is the perfect venue to dine at, whatever your plans.

This restaurant is bright and airy and features a whole wall of full length glass windows, ideal for those who like to people watch whilst dining. Wagamama restaurants offer informal canteen-style dining with long benches and tables. The communal dining experience may not be for everyone so you can request to be sat on your own though as the restaurant works on a first come, first served basis and does not take bookings this may be difficult. The open kitchen allows you to watch your food being cooked, right in front of your eyes.

The menu features a host of Japanese dishes and cooking is commenced the moment you place your order thanks to the electronic order system that waiters use. There is a good variety of noodle, soup and meat dishes as well as grills, salads and sides. Popular dishes include the Chicken Katsu curry; chicken breast deep-fried in panko breadcrumbs (or grilled if you prefer), served with a katsu curry sauce on  a bed of sticky white rice with dressed mixed leaves and red pickles, Teriyaki Soba; grilled teriyaki beef or salmon on a bed of Teppan –fried soba noodles with curry oil, mangetout, chillies, red and spring onions, beansprouts and bok choi with teriyaki sauce, coriander and sesame seeds, and the Wagamama Ramen; noodles in a vegetable soup topped with grilled chicken, smooth dory, prawns, kamaboko, fried tofu, mushrooms wakame and seasonal greens.

Wagamama’s philosophy is ‘positivie eating + positive living’ and you will feel revitalised and energised after dining here. The healthy food, friendly staff and airy restaurant mean you leave feeling full, balanced and happy.

  1. I've been to Wagamama's in Nottingham about 3 times now and I really like the setup and not having to book. I often end up eating the same thing though - the chicken katsu curry - it's really tasty!
